Book of Mormon Greek and Latin word chart

Greek & Latin Chart

I’ve received numerous requests for a full chart of all our findings on the Greek and Latin words found in the Book of Mormon.  To make things easier for those who are interested in the findings we’re listing a synopsis of them all here – if you want the exact location of each verse, send me an e-mail and I’ll send it over to you via e-mail (it’s 43 pages).

 The reason we did this is because of what Joseph Smith said;

Times & Seasons, vol. 4 (November 1842-November 1843): pg. 194; “…There was no Greek or Latin upon the plates from which I, through the grace of God, translated the Book of Mormon Let the language of that book speak for itself.

Well, we’re letting the book speak for itself and here it is showing Joseph Smith lying to the people once again.  We found a total of more than 93 Greek and/or Latin words used over 7,200 times throughout the Book of Mormon.

    You have proved nothing, once again. Anyone with any sense would realize that English words derived from Latin or Greek, and in common in the English Language, would be used in the translating of one language into English.

    You might as well say that a Chinese scroll has Latin and Greek words in it based on the English translation.

    A word of Greek or Latin origin used in the translation does not prove that Greek of Latin words were actually on the plates.

    This is the most ridiculous one you have come up with yet.

      If you believe there’s nothing in my posts why do you bother coming back all the time and why do you get incensed at what I say?

      I never said there was nothing. I said there was no proof. What is in your posts is a lot of false facts and twisted information that can lead to the condemnation of many souls (including your own). Such reckless use of language and intentional deception as has been displayed in your posts causes my great sorrow where your soul is concerned, and the damage it can cause arouses anger where the souls of your readers are concerned.

    […] My volunteers and I spent several months collecting evidence to publish a document on the Greek and Latin words in the Book of Mormon. At the end of our research we counted 7, 354 Greek and/or Latin words in the Book of Mormon. We’ve provided a chart of the words, the number of times each appears as well as the location of the word. http://lifeafterministry.wordpress.com/2011/07/04/book-of-mormon-greek-latin-word-chart/ […]

    […] And lastly we have Moroni 10:32 which is nothing more than plagiarizing the Bible again – Romans 1:16 this time. My question is why they’d keep using the Bible when they believe it’s so corrupt? And why are there Greek and Latin words in the text when Joseph Smith emphatically declared it had no such thing. http://lifeafterministry.wordpress.com/2011/07/04/book-of-mormon-greek-latin-word-chart/ […]

  3. Mormon Dilemma 207 « Life After Ministry - March 27, 2012

    […] Additionally, I have personally counted more than 7,200 Greek and/or Latin words in the Book of Mormon which Smith incidentally promised were not on the plates from which he translated and what we now know to be the Book of Mormon.  http://lifeafterministry.wordpress.com/2011/07/04/book-of-mormon-greek-latin-word-chart/  […]
