2 Noteworthy Facts Regarding the Latest Temple Open House

21 November

Acts 17:24-27; “God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us”.

While reading over various sites about the Church’s latest temple opening, this time in Meridian, Idaho, two items I came across gave me pause…

One came from the MormonNewsRoom with a comment made by Dieter Uchtdorf during the dedication –

 ““The Lord has decided through his living prophet, even President Monson to put a house of the Lord in this place,” said President Uchtdorf. Speaking of President Thomas S. Monson, he said, “He is aware what is happening here and is grateful for your prayers and your participation in this marvelous and wonderful work.” …Plans to build the temple were announced by President Thomas S. Monson in April 2011….”

It seems like they’re not telling the whole truth…not a surprise given their history. I recently lost both my grandmother and father in the past 1.5 yrs and in both cases, I heard very similar comments. One from my mother concerning my grandmother, and the other from my step-mother about my father. Near the end, they both mentioned ‘…is aware of what’s going on right now…’

In both cases, they were incapacitated. We’re wondering…what if something significant happens? Who makes the decision then?

If no one but the prophet hears from God, and subsequently passes on their god’s message to members, what would happen to members if they really needed to hear from God and no one was authorized to speak?

The other item of note came while reading over the press releases about the Meridian temple.

In the comment section for an elaborate 3-D video pointing out all the grandeur of the temple, someone asked about the missing inscription above a doorway on the temple.

The owner of the site did some checking and come to find out, they somehow missed putting the phrase, ‘Holiness to the Lord’, on their beloved building… Plans to remedy the issue is in the works as I type. See 3DTeempleblogspot for more info.

Wow.

This is a great reminder you don’t need temple buildings on this side of the cross! Moreover, it’s another testament of how crazy their system is regarding this. One of the sites reminded readers that a Catholic served on the architectural team, and others had no religious affiliations at all.

The Bible tells us how God gave very specific instructions to Solomon and it doesn’t resemble what Mormons have done at all – and that’s just on the subject of who should and shouldn’t be included in the workforce!

Pray for those who attended this opening won’t you? May God have mercy on them by opening their eyes!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle

    Why do they think they need Temples? Do they not know Christ dwells in our hearts? Do they not understand His true power & abilities? He does not need buildings or man to dwell in us. When we know Him, He begins working in us & is in our daily life.
    So heartbreaking
