Wife of Mormon Prophet: ‘It’s as though he’s been unleashed’

16 November

Today we’re looking at an article a friend (Melissa B.) alerted me to via Fox News who reported on an interview Wendy Nelson provided. You can also read this on Mormon.org. Ironic isn’t it that they’d keep the URL?

When Melissa told me about this I almost choked at the choice of words Mrs. Nelson used. Saying the prophet is unleashed reminds me of Revelation 20:7 when God says Satan will be loosed from prison. We’ve pulled a couple of statements from the article ~ to read the full article, see link below.

Latter-day Saint Prophet, Wife and Apostle Share Insights of Global Ministry “The Book of Mormon teaches over and over again that you need to have the ordinances,” he [Russell Nelson] emphasized. “And of course, that’s why we have temples so that all the potential that God has in store for His children can become a fact, a reality. … No one else can offer perpetuation of the family unit beyond the grave. And that, according to our Heavenly Father, is the greatest gift that He can give to His children.”

According to Jesus this won’t happen – Mark 12:25

“We’re witnesses to a process of restoration,” said the prophet. “If you think the Church has been fully restored, you’re just seeing the beginning. There is much more to come. … Wait till next year. And then the next year. Eat your vitamin pills. Get your rest. It’s going to be exciting.”

This sounds more like a sales rally, not inspired words from a Holy God. Come now, would God tell us to eat our vitamins??? Furthermore, if there are other things of great import, shouldn’t the Saints know these things straightaway?

 “What’s caught my attention about that is to see how much the people love the Lord, and therefore they’re so drawn to the prophet. … I think lives were changed,” she [Wendy Nelson] said.

“I have seen him changing in the last ten months,” said Sister Nelson. “It is as though he’s been unleashed. He’s free to finally do what he came to earth to do. … And also, he’s free to follow through with things he’s been concerned about but could never do. Now that he’s president of [the Church], he can do those things.” …

If Nelson’s been chomping at the bit to do these things, are they really items on God’s agenda, or Nelson’s?

“He’s not afraid to do something different,” said the prophet’s wife. “If we’re really preparing the Church and the world for the Second Coming of the Savior, he is sincere about that. He doesn’t want us spending money, time, energy on anything that isn’t really focused on that. It’s pretty stunning…”

We have a good place he can start: the billions of $$ spent on temples. The Bible tells us that believers are now God’s holy temple ~ 1 Corinthians 3:166:19

Pray for the floodgates of new ex-Mormons to open! Hopefully Mormons will see this for what it is – another charlatan is in their midst. This old man is bored in his retirement years and seems to be looking for a new hobby. Unfortunately, it’s coming at the great expense of more people getting bamboozled by his faux concern for them.

With all the talk of Nelson’s new revelation, we think the true revelation came not from him, but his wife.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
