Who Builds God’s Kingdom?

20 July

Ensign, “God Be with You Till We Meet Again”, November 2012 “As you willingly fulfill callings when you are asked, you are helping to build the kingdom of God on earth.” —Thomas S. Monson

Acts 2:46-47 “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

Fulfilling positions in your church doesn’t build the Kingdom of God. When you go on missions and convert people, you aren’t the one who’s building the Kingdom of God. That’s especially true when you’re not worshiping the true God of the Bible!

The only way the Kingdom of God is built is through the providence of God. He is the only one responsible for growing His Kingdom. It grows with each person who accepts His Son as their Redeemer. People fill positions of what’s already been established.

Moreover, Mormons aren’t necessarily ‘called by God’ to fulfill positions. Leaders of the LDS Church call members to fill empty slots as the bishop looks over the list of who’s available to do something.

In the true body of Christ, people are called by God Himself when He prompts someone to fill the ministry/calling He has for them. They in turn call their church and volunteer for the position God laid on their heart.

We’re praying for Mormons to see the difference in how God truly operates, as opposed to believing lies from men who pretend they’re in charge!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
