Where is Jesus in Mormonism?

Articles of Faith, p. 344;“Salvation is attainable only through compliance with the laws and ordinances of the Gospel” – James Talmage

Matthew 24:24; “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

Of the 37 miracles Jesus performed, the largest group involved healings, of which there were twenty, and the next was His ability to control nature. We read eight accounts of when Jesus either calmed the seas, fed thousands, or turned water into wine, etc.

I found it interesting that in the majority of cases Jesus was on His way somewhere, yet He always found time to stop and show His compassion for the everyday person. Luke 13:10-17 is a  good example of when He healed the crippled woman.

Today we’re wondering why the Church had to come up with so many rules to control people, yet they seemed to have no time to teach members facts about Jesus, and the things He did while here on earth. The 37 miracles is a good example! BTW – we’ve listed these in chronological order.

Pray that Mormons will stop to investigate simple things like these as they go throughout their day.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
