Tip of the Day, October 4

04 October

October 4 – Luke 2:4-6; “And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.  And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.”

Matthew 2:1 also attests to the fact that Jesus was born in Bethlehem.  Amazing that no matter where you look in scripture, it never contradicts itself!  Now, with the lesson from the Mormon ‘scripture’ for today it says that he was born inJerusalem.  The Mormon will tell you Jerusalem and Bethlehem are suburbs of each other.  They are actually more than six miles apart.  If the Book of Mormon is really true, don’t you think they would have the inspiration from God not to make such a grave error?

Alma 7:10; “And behold, he shall be born of Mary, at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, who shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost, and bring forth a son, yea, even the Son of God.”
