October 26 – Isaiah 43:10-11; “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.”
Well here we see that God is clear and plain about other gods. Before Him there were no gods, after him there will be no other gods and beside him there are no other gods. Mormons seem to think that just because they don’t worship other people who they think have achieved godhood status, they’re not polytheists…not true!
Believing that you can become a god implies you believe other gods exist – this makes you a polytheist.
“To worship the Lord is to put him foremost in our hearts and minds, above all other relationships and before all other things. There is no god but God, and we are to worship him only.” David H. Madsen, “No Other Gods before Me,” Ensign, Jan. 1990, 48
