May 9 – John 17:21-3; “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one”.
The following Mormon scripture is not Mormon theology. They do not believe in the Trinity, in addition, it is illogical to believe they could become sons of God here on earth if they were spiritually begotten sons of God in the pre-existence. I call verses like these; “filler words”. They fill the page with what looks godly, it also helps to confuse the minds of the church members.
3 Nephi 9:15, 17; “Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are, I was with the Father from the beginning. I am in the Father, and the Father in me, and in me hath the Father glorified his name.” Verse 17; “And as many as have received me, to them have I given to become the sons of God…”
