Tip of the Day, May 8

May 8 – Ps. 82:6; “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High”.

It’s time for yet another word study!  Review is always good to refresh our minds and to set them on things above.  The word today is elohim, or gods.  Remember the transliteration…this time it is meant as magistrates, or rulers.  For a little while some of us are put in charge of things or people, yet we are still the children of God, not being a god or the One and only Holy God ourselves.  We can never be like Him.

Remember, Mormons call their god by the name of elohim.  They do not believe in the Deity of God, so who is it they’re worshipping or calling God?  Ask your Mormon friend or loved one what they know of the Hebrew word elohim.

D&C 76:55-56, 58; “They are they into whose hands the Father has given all things-They are they who are priests and kings, who have received of his fullness, and of his glory; Wherefore, as it is written, they are gods, even the sons of God.”
