Tip of the Day, July 3
July 3 – Matthew 5:33-35; “Again, ye have hard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool”.

Mormons swear oaths to the Mormon god in the temples when they go in for their endowments. There are three points of interest today.
1-scattered throughout their ‘scriptures’, Mormons are repeatedly told by their god not to take oaths, so why do they perform these things when they’re told not to.
2-at the time of this writing the book of Nephi was supposed to have taken place in 34 AD. That’s at least a full year after the Lord was crucified.
3-it’s difficult to ignore the similarities between the writings of the KJV Bible and the book of Nephi, right down to the verse numbers.

3 Nephi 12:33-35; “And again it is written, thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths; But verily, verily I say unto you, swear not at all; neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; Nor by the earth, for it is his footstool”.
