April 19 – In Deut. 28:49 God said; “The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand.”
Many times in the Old Testament we can find a warning to the Israelites from God about the Egyptians. He tells them repeatedly not to mingle with them and here we see how they won’t even know how to speak Egyptian. The Israelites spoke Hebrew. Why is it then that the Mormons believe the Nephites actually spoke Egyptian and called the people they learned this language from, their fathers? Who then are their fathers?
Mosiah 1:2; “And it came to pass that he had three sons; and he called their names Mosiah, and Helorum, and Helaman. And he caused that they should be taught in all the language of his fathers, that thereby they might become men of understanding…”
