Tip of the Day, April 17
April 17 – 2 Cor. 4:6-7; “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”

It’s word study time! The key word today is “glory”. In the Greek it means, honor, praise or worship. Man’s arrogance is what the apostle John addressed to the believers in his latter epistles. The theme of first John is the fellowship of Christ and a warning to watch out for the Gnostics. Well Gnosticism is now wrapped in a pretty new package called Mormonism.

D&C 93:36; “The glory of God is intelligence, or, in other words, light and truth.”
