Tip of the Day, April 16

16 April

April 16 – Philippians 2:5-7; “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.”

This is one of the most beautiful depictions of Jesus Christ here on this earth.  Think of His love for us as He humbled Himself to come here to earth to serve us.  Each of us feels love for someone, but how far would you go to truly serve the way He did?  I think we wouldn’t find even one.

“When the time came that His first-born, the Saviour, should come into the world and take a tabernacle, the Father came Himself and favoured that spirit with a tabernacle instead of letting any other man do it.  The Saviour was begotten by the Father of His spirit, by the same Being who is the Father of our spirits, and that is all the organic difference between Jesus Christ and you and me.” Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 4, pg. 218.
