So today the Salt Lake Tribune posted an article with a catchy title that obviously got me to click on their site and check it out. It said;
‘And it came to pass, one day the Book of Mormon overtook the Bible — in LDS eyes’
The teaser didn’t show the last three words, thus my chasing after what they said. They mentioned the Saint’s view of their canon significantly changed during the tenure of the prophet Ezra Taft Benson; placing the Book of Mormon ahead of the Bible.
I have three things to say.
1.The Mormons were doing that long before Benson came on the scene. Thus their story isn’t really a story at all.
2.Galatians 1:6-9 says;
“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
3.Pray, won’t you?
With Love in Christ;
