Stolen Salvation of the Mormon People

Ensign, ‘The Living Christ,’ May 1977, 26

Bernard Brockbank (1909 – 2000) served in several capacities in the Church, namely that of Missions President in the British Isles in the early 1960’s. In the ‘70’s he served as one of the seven assistants to the twelve to live outside the U.S. He was also in charge of the Mormon Pavilion at the New York’s World Fair from 1964-1965 at which time the Church saw a huge increase of members because of his work.

Today we’re looking at an article he wrote 40 years ago. There’s one main purpose in looking at this –

It shows how the Church has used God’s word to deceive. They use the Bible, which they’ve condemned, to lure people in, and present themselves as God’s true messengers.

People like my mother have been tricked by their conniving ways for almost two hundred years now. The very first thing he said should serve as a warning to everyone who concerns themselves with the cause of Christ. They’re singing the same tune even now in the 21st Century…

“It is true that many of the Christian churches worship a different Jesus Christ than is worshipped by the Mormons or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. …

Scary!!!

Jesus warned man to beware of false Christs with these words: “Take heed that no man deceive you. …(Matt. 24:4–5, 24.)

Indeed!

In the first commandment of the Ten Commandments, the Lord commanded man to worship the living God of the scriptures and not to create and worship man-conceived Deities. … (Ex. 20:3–5.) Many continue to bow down to man-made images. …

Moroni comes to mind…

There is only one way provided by the Lord for man to gain salvation and eternal life … We cannot obtain salvation and eternal life by worshipping fake Christs or by living the doctrines and commandments of men. …

Remember, he just told them that Mormons worship a different Christ …

The Pharisees with their man-made doctrines and traditions were again condemned by the Savior. … (Matt. 15:8–9.)

The belief that God has no body, parts, and passions is not a doctrine of Jesus Christ or a doctrine of the holy scriptures but is a doctrine of men, and to worship such a God is in vain. [emp. added]

How did Mr. Brockbank know that God isn’t a Spirit if the Bible had been translated incorrectly?

From the time when the Lord created man in his own image and likeness, men have created false gods to worship, such as golden calves, sculptured images, etc.; and billions through the centuries including the very elect have been deceived and misled.

Case in point is the angel of light Moroni, seen all over the world sitting atop temples housing the false god of Mormonism.

… The message of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the people of the world is that God the Eternal Father and Jesus Christ live, that they are personages with immortal bodies of flesh and bones and passions, and that all mankind are children of God and are created in his image and likeness, and that Jesus Christ through his Prophet Joseph Smith restored his church with all of his doctrines, commandments, and ordinances as recorded in all of his holy scriptures.” — Bernard P. Brockbank, Quorum of the Seventy

Are people to believe that a 14 year old NY farm-boy who practiced witchcraft is the one the God chose as His holy prophet?

Why? Where’s the Jesus of the Bible?

The Mormon Church has gone out of its way to steal the salvation of millions – my family is just one small example. Both sides of my family had the same story when they emigrated to the US. No one realized the extent of polygamous practices, and the racism in the Church, or that the Bible wasn’t relied upon, until after their arrival on this side of the pond.

The ungodly tentacles of false teachings have outworn their welcome long ago.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
