Sacrifices in Salt Lake Temple – Mormon Quotes

Wilford Woodruff’s Journal: 1833-1898, Dec. 18, 1857, vol. 5, pg. 140; LDS President Wilford Woodruff recorded the following information given to him in a meeting with Brigham Young: “Under the pulpit in the west End [of the SLC Temple ] will be a place to Offer Sacrafizes. [sp] There will be an Altar prepared for that purposes [sp] so that when any sacrifices are to be offered they should be offered there.

1 Sam. 15:22-23And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

And what makes them think God would accept these sacrifices?
