Racist Rants of Mormon Apostle Stephen Richards

14 February

Stephen L. RichardsWhere Is Wisdom? p. 390; “…Intermarriage between members of these great racial divisions are possible, but the progeny are usually feeble, not long-lived, and of poor physical quality; and no permanent self-propagating, homogeneous races can be generated by such intermarriages. Hence these different classes of mankind amount in effect to a difference in species. … Then as regards language, there is a very important difference…The Negro languages are also simple and not adapted for conveying any but the simplest ideas and thoughts.” – Stephen L Richards, 1955

Isaiah 8:20; “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”

1 John 2:4, 9; “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.”

God Never Changes

When we look into God’s word we can see a repetitive theme going on which isAWESOME!

We saw a warning in Isaiah. He said if people speak against God’s word, it’s because there’s no light in them…

Fast forward 700+ years, and we see the same warning in John’s epistle. He said those who brag about keeping God’s word and don’t do it, are liars in the dark.

The wise King Solomon lived c. BC 900 and was the poster child for being the most wise. Did you know he received his insight from the Lord by simply asking for it? 2 Chronicles 1:10-12 He, like his father King David, truly loved the Lord!!

The reason we’re highlighting King Solomon is based on the name of the book mentioned above, written by an LDS apostle. We’re wondering…just where was this man’s wisdom? Were his words a reflection of a godly man filled with wisdom?

Mr. Richards was the grandson of an early Mormon polygamist, Willard Richards. If you happen to be on the campus of BYU, you’re sure to notice a building, statues, and halls, memorializing Stephen Richards today. The Mormon people have nothing but high praise and regard for the man, which in light of his racist views, is nothing short of heartbreaking.

I would hope our concern about this man’s ‘wisdom’ is apparent to all. The mindset of the LDS leaders who taught such nonsense is obviously alive and well in the 21st century, and never has fit in with the way our Lord has instructed us to live. Where is the wisdom, and where are the signs of Richards obeying the laws and testimony of God?

A compelling argument for detecting those who aren’t filled with wisdom can be found on BibleStudy.org. It should come as no surprise the Mormon Church qualified with each point listed.

“What happens if a person is WITHOUT wisdom?

A person with no wisdom brings to himself many consequences, including foolishly pursuing the ways of evil.

One only has to look at the track record of the Church. They were kicked out of Ohio, Missouri, and Illinois.

[here’s what] Proverbs says about those who run after rebellion against God.

They have perverse words (Jas. 3:8, Ro. 3:11-14)

See example above in Richards’ book.

Their ways are dark and they love darkness (symbolic of evil) (Pr. 2:13, Ps. 91:6, Jn. 1:19)

Look at the occult markings on Mormon temples – each temple, along with their markings, represent Satan, not God.

They enjoy running after and the spoils of doing evil (Pr. 2:14; Lk. 8:14, 2 Tim. 3:1-7)

They mercilessly gunned down 120 Christian men, women and children and took all their belongings – see article on Mountain Meadows Massacre.

The rebellious refuse to do what is right (Pr. 2:15; Mt. 7:13-14, Ph. 2:15)

Joseph Smith made the following comment two months before he was killed –

History of the Church 6:408; “Come on! ye persecutors! ye false swearers! All hell, boil over! Ye burning mountains, roll down your lava! for I will come out on top at last. I have more to boast of than ever any man had…”

They behave in devious ways and are deceptive (Pr. 2:15; Eph. 4:14, Mt. 24:24)

See our list of articles for ‘Follow the Prophet’. Mormons are to have unquestioning loyalty, or else.

They disregard covenants (agreements) (Pr. 2:17, Ro. 1:22-32)”

This is the biggest red flag Mormons don’t follow God and use wisdom in their choices. God’s new and everlasting covenant was tossed aside and renamed ‘polygamy’.

Bearing false witness is a sin, and sites like this bear false witness.

You conveniently ignore the whole history of mainstream Christianity and it’s racist past and the racism that still goes on today. And not only of Blacks but of Jews and other ethnic
    minorities.

All this lying you fling at the LDS can be flung right back at all religions especially mainstream Christianity.

Today, the Appleby Baptist church in Texas openly and proudly teaches the mark of Cain doctrine as to why Blacks are inferior, and they proudly discriminate against Blacks…..and Jews. Westborough Baptist church …..no explanation needed. And there are others.
The Mars Hill church debacle is a good one.
    Evangelicals…….too much to list.

John Calvin hated Jews. And he murdered people. And by the way, Martin Luther condoned polygamy and even performed a polygamous marriage ceremony.

Why are mainstream Christian churches, today, still segregated between White and Black……why are there still all Black Christian churches. Why are there still all White Christian churches.

If racism really bothers you mainstream
Christians as you profess, you would be
condemning these racist churches that exist today……but you do not…..because they
believe a lot of the same stuff as you do, so they get a pass. Bigotry is also a sin.
