Over the next few days or so I’ll be posting our collection of Mormon Dilemmas and Quotes. While going through all the postings some of them just jump off the page screaming for attention so I’m taking a few of those categories and posting them as my thought of the day. The full set of our 1,300+ quotes will be ready in a week or two!
The stark reality of how evil and downright lonely the Mormon gospel is nothing short of remarkable. Ron Carlson’s words keep going through my head while doing my project –
‘Michelle, don’t ever forget 1 John 4:4 – memorize it and never forget’.
1 John 4:4; “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcomethem: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
I’ve relied heavily upon that verse the past couple of days and even more so today.
The category of quotes I came upon today is on qualifying.
Qualifying for something tells me I’ve tried out for something or that I’ve attained some level of achievement to be included in a certain group to receive a prize.
Ah, but this very word is the same word used with the same meaning by Mormons to dig a deeper grave for their Mormon adherents. By using this word they systematically build a dividing wall between them and God Almighty who gave us His most precious gift – His One and Only Son, Jesus.
Their teachings remind me of the man wearing a boiler hat at a carnival. He stands at a table with three shells hiding a coveted prize and switches them around until you’re dizzy. Mormon salvation is under one of those shells. In order to play their games you just need to qualify by jumping through their hoops and then guess at which new revelation pertains to your dispensation. And after all that nonsense is said and done if you’ve ‘qualified’ you might be like a god in the pantheon of gods out there…in a billion or so years that is.
Here are a few of the quotes I found in our collection on ‘qualifying’ for God or salvation, or the Holy Ghost…I’m exhausted just thinking of it. Ugh.
Remember – salvation is theirs for the taking! Salvation is easy! Acts 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart, you are saved. As Ron Carlson used to say – ‘It’s Christianity in a nutshell’. Share it today with the Mormon in your life!
With Love in Christ;
