Punishment for Non-Valiant Brings Disabilities and Dark Skin

11 July

Decisions for Successful Living, pp. 164-165; “The privilege of obtaining a mortal body on this earth is seemingly so priceless that those in the spirit world, even though unfaithful or not valiant, were undoubtedly permitted to take mortal bodies although under penalty of racial or physical or nationalistic limitations.” – Harold B. Lee, 1973

John 9:2-3; “And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.”

This is one of those times when one doctrine fills the shoes of several false prophecies. Here’s a list of reasons why –

  • 1.There’s no such thing as a pre-existence for mankind. 1 Cor. 15:44-47
  • 2.Disabilities don’t just magically appear in the way this is portrayed.
  • 3.Skin color doesn’t change based on someone’s behavior.
  • 4.Nationalities don’t change based on someone’s behavior.

Doctrines like this serve only one purpose in Mormonism. Induce shame. If you don’t look, think, or act like everyone else in their enclosed group, you’re the problem. Instead of opening God’s word to discover what the Lord has to say, they rely on their own understanding which causes fear based shunning.

Pray for the salvation of those who believe it, and healing in the personal lives when they discover it’s all a lie!

I know Jesus can, and will do this because He did it for me!

We originally published this in 2016, and thought it needed to be placed in our ‘Worst of the Worst’ category, You’ll find it in our upcoming publication of Worst of the Worst Part 4 in the next few days.

One thing is certain – our dear Lord would never condone the things this man said.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
