Prophet, Following the – Mormon Quotes

Doctrines of Salvation 3:203; “Every man who writes is responsible, not the Church, for what he writes. If Joseph Fielding Smith writes something which is out of harmony with the revelations, then every member of the Church is duty bound to reject it. If he writes that which is in perfect harmony with the revealed word of the Lord, then it should be accepted.

2 Thessalonians 2:8-9And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.

The above teaching by the LDS Church contradicts what they tell their adherents in the 11th of “Fourteen Fundamentals in Following the Prophet” which says “The two groups who have the greatest difficulty in following the prophet are the proud who are learned and the proud who are rich.”
