Polygamy Lies Told to LDS Seminary Students

21 February

D&C Teachers ManualThe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, “LESSON 140: Doctrine and Covenants 132:1-2, 34-66,” Doctrine and Covenants and Church History Seminary Teacher Manual, (2013); “Do not speculate about whether plural marriage is a requirement for the celestial kingdom. We have no knowledge that plural marriage will be a requirement for exaltation.”

Acts 17:11; “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

Oh, if we could all be like the Bereans! They went to the scriptures with a readiness of mind, meaning they were willing to accept what they had heard if it lined up with the word of God. Imagine if we were all like this, all the time!

Today we’re looking at what the Church is trying to imprint upon the impressionable minds of LDS youth.

The LDS teaching mentioned above didn’t come from books eons ago. This is what their kids are learning today in the seminary classes they take five days a week. Why is the Church lying to their youth? They know full well what they’ve mandated in the past!

The evidence against Church authorities is overwhelming. Not only do the kids haveJoseph Smith 8 readily available access to our references below, but the mandate for polygamy is in their canon! See D&C 132:4-6 where Joe Smith declared you’ll be damned if you don’t practice polygamy.

Subsequent leaders in Mormonism had no doubt in their minds as to whether or not polygamy was necessary. See what George Cannon (LDS Apostle), and Heber C. Kimball (LDS Apostle) had to say about it – (Notice how Kimball said it was necessary for exaltation!)

Damnation & Hell for Non-polygamists

Cannon George QJournal of Discourses 23:280; “…Whatever men’s laws may be we cannot deny the truth of God, the revelations of God. I cannot do it, I would be damned and go to hell if I were to do it….” – George Q. Cannon, Salt Lake City, October 8, 1882

Plurality Brings Glory and Exaltation

Journal of Discourses 4:108; “Many of this people have broken their covenants Heber C Kimballby speaking evil of one another, by speaking against the servants of God, and by finding fault with the plurality of wives and trying to sink it out of existence. But you cannot do that, for God will cut you off and raise up another people that will carry out His purposes in righteousness, unless you walk up to the line of your duty. On the one hand there is glory and exaltation; and on the other no tongue can express the suffering and affliction this people will pass through, if they do not repent.” – Heber C. Kimball, Salt Lake City, September 28, 1856
