Paul the Apostle – Mormon Quotes

Encyclopedia of Mormonism, pg. 1069; The Prophet Joseph Smith gave a description of Paul: about five feet tall, dark hair, penetrating eyes, and a powerful orator (TPJS, p. 180; WJS, p. 59). He also indicated that Paul was acquainted with Enoch (TPJS, p. 170) and that Abel “was sent down from heaven unto Paul to minister consoling words, and to commit unto him a knowledge of the mysteries of godliness” (TPJS, p. 169).

Acts 9:1-5And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, 2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.  3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?  5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

Isn’t it interesting the Church doesn’t believe in total grace, the very thing Paul preached on the most?  Paul gloried in the cross and the Mormons despise it.  They believe all murderers should have their own blood shed for atonement.  They obviously don’t agree with Paul who said not to consort with spirits.  And suddenly Smith knows what Paul looks like.
