Occult Symbolism in Mormon Temples

12 February

Luke 4:17-21; “And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”

The Occult in Mormonism and the Life of Joseph SmithLiahona, ‘Commonly Asked Questions,’ October 2010; “Why is symbolism used in the temple?

During His earthly ministry, the Savior often taught in parables to represent eternal truths symbolically. He has directed that we be taught in a similar way in the temple. There is symbolism in the temple ordinances and covenants, their presentation, the physical setting, and the clothing worn. If you ponder the meaning of these symbols with the guidance of the Holy Ghost, they can help you recognize truth, learn about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and grow spiritually.”

‘This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears’…Luke 4:21 is one of those scriptures that drops Christians to their knees because it’s the embodiment of all things holy. Oh, how we’re praying each and every Mormon would come to know this truth!

Just think, every promise God had given to His children was being fulfilled right before their very eyes! For a moment today, think of what it would’ve been like to hear Him speak those words. Even though we weren’t there to hear it then, the Lord has blessed us by providing His word, telling us what happened. He is truly an amazing God!

Foregoing the topic we should have temples, where in the Bible does it say we must be taught in parables?

Jesus wasn’t using a parable to tell the Israelites He was the fulfillment of scripture!

No one should believe what they said about studying the symbolism of their temples. Our experience has been that the Church, and its members, go out of their way to denounce those who study the symbolism. We’ve written a few in-depth articles on this subject, and not one time have we heard a positive report from them. See our list of articles, Occult Markings on Mormon Temples.

Why is it a bad thing to study when they clearly tell people to do so?

They said when you study the symbols, you’ll learn about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and that’s what we’ve done, although we didn’t find anything symbolizing our Lord. The following is an excerpt from our article ‘Inverted Stain-glass Pentagrams’. As you’ll see, the Church represented our One and Only Holy God with an inverted pentagram –

Mormon Church:

Temple Symbols 18“Jesus Christ is called the “bright and morning star” (Rev 22:16). The starstones on the Nauvoo Temple, some with their unique lengthened ray, are a fitting symbol of Jesus Christ as the morning star. Additionally, the circle is a symbol of eternity and it is wholly fitting that the symbol of Jesus Christ in the circular windows (five-pointed stars) was framed by a circle.” – Lisle Brown

Truth:

“In symbolism, an inverted figure always signifies a perverted power…The star with two points upward is also called the “Goat of Mendes,” because the inverted star is the same shape as a goat’s head. When the upright star turns and the upper point falls to the bottom, it signifies the fall of the Morning Star.” – Manly Hall [emp. mine]

Nauvoo Temple Inverted Pentagramcircle around a pentagram indicates their power is enhanced.  Witches use upright pentagrams while Satanists use the inverted pentagram.

Does this sound holy to you?

Furthermore, why hasn’t the Church rejoiced with what Jesus said in Luke’s gospel? Why did Brigham Young make the following statement?

Journal of Discourses 8:203; “We have often told you that we want to build a Temple, but not for convening promiscuous congregations. I inform you, long before you see the walls reared and the building completed, that it will be for the purposes of the Priesthood, and not for meetings of the people…” – Brigham Young

The pentagram can be found, to this day, on Christian churches from the 15th, 16th, 17th
    centuries throughout Europe.

So those Christian churches really were not and are not Christian.

Witch craft and what ever started using the pentagram in the 1970s.

The out right lies this site promotes. And you know people will blindly believe it and not look up facts for themselves. You do the very thing you accuse the Mormons of doing. And you use communist tacticts…..very subtle.
