No Salvation Without Revelation

23 May

Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 160; “Salvation cannot come without revelation; it is in vain for anyone to minister without it. No man is a minister of Jesus Christ without being a Prophet. No man can be a minister of Jesus Christ except he has the testimony of Jesus; and this is the spirit of prophecy. Whenever salvation has been administered, it has been by testimony. Men of the present time testify of heaven and hell, and have never seen either; and I will say that no man knows these things without this.”

Romans 10:9; “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Confession + Belief = Salvation.

This two step process is relatively simple, right? Just make sure you’re believing in the Jesus of the Bible, and not Joe Smith of Mormonism!

Where in the Bible does it say we must believe ‘no man is a minister of Jesus Christ without being a prophet’? Every person who believes Jesus is the Christ, and God raised Him from the dead, is a minister of Him!

Where is Smith’s testimony that Jesus’ shed blood can save us? Acts 20:28Ephesians 1:7

Finally beloved, when we believe, we’re filled with His Holy Spirit, and He compels us to share the truth of Him.

Be sure to share this simple truth today with the Mormon you know!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
