Mormonism: The Nothing Christian God Can’t Hear Your Prayers

25 April

General Conference, ‘Strange Creeds of Christendom,’ October 1972; “At the time that Joseph Smith had that marvelous vision and saw that glorified Christ, he saw the same Jesus that came out of the tomb. …

There is not time to go into a lot of detail, but their [Christian] catechism says that their god has “no body; he has no parts; he has no passions.” That means that he has no eyes; he cannot see. He has no ears; he cannot hear your prayers. He has no voice; he cannot speak a word to the prophets. Some of them even say “he sits on the top of a topless throne.” How absurd! To me it seems that their description of the god that they believe in is about the best description of nothing that can be written.

…when he [Moses] went to lead the children of Israel into the promised land, he told them … ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.” (Deut. 4:28.)

That is exactly the kind of a god the whole Christian world was worshiping when Joseph Smith had that glorious vision…” – LeGrand Richards

Hebrews 8:1; “Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens”.

Today’s Mormon reference comes courtesy of former LDS apostle, LeGrand Richards. He happened to be the author of one of the most blasphemous books I’ve ever read. (Gospel Through the Ages)

I came across the General Conference talk shown above while looking for a reference for another subject matter.

Now with all the background behind us, let’s look at Mr. Richards’ claims to see if they legit. It seems outrageous he’d make such awful comments about the body of Christ while calling himself a Christian.

1.I ran a Google search looking for the phrase ‘he sits on top of a topless throne’ because he made it sound as if a Christian said this.

Every result that showed this phrase came from a Mormon. Every single one. It’s hard to believe any God-fearing, true Christian, would say such a thing!

2.The whole Christian world wasn’t worshiping a god made of wood, or any manmade god at all. Remember, the Mormon god is manmade, being an exalted man, born of another exalted man-god.

The Christian world was, and still is, worshiping the God by the name of Jesus.

3.The beauty of the Christian God is that He can hear, He can see, and He is intimately aware of all we do.

The reason we’ve pointed out this man’s speech is because it’s the same thing Mormons still believe. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be knocking on your door.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
