Mormon Leaders’ Lies on LDS Website

What the Church Teaches about the Bible in 2016

“…In 1979, after years of careful work under the direction of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve, the Churchsalt lake mormon temple 2published a Latter-day Saint edition of the Bible. This edition of the Bible has the same text as the King James Version, but it includes special study aids, such as the Topical Guide, the Bible Dictionary, and footnotes referring to passages in other books of scripture and to excerpts from Joseph Smith’s translation of the Bible….

…I believe the Bible as it read when it came from the pen of the original writers. Ignorant translators, careless transcribers, or designing and corrupt priests have committed many errors…”

Luke 16:29, 31; “Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”

In the New Testament we find that Jesus quoted scripture 78 times. He quoted from Psalms more than any other book (11x), and believed each book was written by God Himself through the pen of those whom He sent.

While searching for data on the number of times Jesus quoted from the OT, I came across one of the coolest websites I’ve seen in a long time. I had to share what I discovered, because I know it’ll bless you as it did me!

Dr. David Livingston 1925-2013, was a pastor, theologian, and archaeologist, with a stellar reputation, earning him the unbridled respect of colleagues worldwide. In a collection of verses on his website from the OT, Dr. Livingston commented that Jesus ‘believed Scripture was more powerful than His miracles’.

You simply can’t get a better endorsement of the scripture’s authenticity than Jesus Himself. If He was quoting from its contents, who are we to question?! In addition to our sweet Jesus, God has also provided a host of learned scholars whom He has filled with His Holy Spirit to guide us along in life.

We have just a couple of questions about the lies on LDS.org.

Why would God put a group of men in charge of rewriting His scriptures when none of them have been trained in any of the biblical languages from the Bible?

All of the LDS prophets and apostles are retired from the business world. Granted, they were very successful at what they did, however, their training didn’t include biblical studies, or the ancient languages found in the Bible. Moreover, they’re not filled with God’s Holy Spirit!

Why would it be okay to endorse Joe Smith who had a 3rd grade education, and went out of his way to denounce God’s word, not to mention attempt to rewrite it?

The Church’s declaration of endorsing the Bible is a nothing but a smoke screen one can easily see through by spending less than a minute on their site. How terribly sad for them, and especially for those who dismiss their lack of credentials.
