Mormon Gods Excludes Holy Ghost

24 May

Today we’re looking at excerpts from a member of the early LDS Church; George Laub. He was a devoted follower, and his loyalty to Smith’s ideologies is unfortunately, all too apparent. You can find this excerpt at the link below, and also at George Laub’s Journal, Book of Abraham Project (BOAP), pp.16-17.

[Spelling as in original.]

The Words of Joseph Smith, p. 382; “George Laub Journal. The Scripture Say I and my father are one & again that the father son & holy ghost are one I John 5 ch. 7 vers But these three agree in the Same thing & did the Saviour pray to the father.

I pray not for the world but those [w]home he gave me out of the world that we might be one, or to Say be of one mind in the unity of the faith but Every one being a diffrent or Seperate person & So is god & is god & Jesus Christ & the holy ghost. Seperate persons. but the all agree in one or the Self Same thing

Question: Where is this in the Bible? If you’re going to use the Bible, where’s the proof?

But the holy ghost is yet a Spiritual body and waiting to take to himself a body. as the Savior did or as god did or the gods before them took bodies for the Saviour Says the work that my father did do i also & those are the works he took himself a a body & then laid down his life that he might take it up again

The HS waiting for a body just as Jesus did – and the other gods did? Here’s proof that Mormons are polytheists.

& the Scripture Say those who will obey the commandments shall be heirs of god & Joint heirs with of Jesus Christ we then also took bodys to lay them down, to take them up again

Does this mean we’ll be crucified?

& the Sperit itself bears witness with our Spirits that we are the children of god & if children then heirs and Joint heirs with Jesus Christ if So be that we Suffer with him in the flesh that we may be also glorified to gether. See Romans 8 ch 16 & 17 Vers.” –  Eds. Andrew F. Ehat, and Lyndon W. Cook.

Be sure to check back tomorrow because we’re looking at another LDS doctrine that contradicts what Mr. Laub jotted down in  his notes.

One more thing –

For LDS members who will state Mr. Laub’s journals aren’t authorized scripture, ask yourself why the Church authorized the publication of this book. Mr. Ehat and Mr. Cook are both from BYU. Mr. Cook was Mr. Ehat’s professor at BYU.

1 John 5:7;  “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

Don’t forget to share this with a Mormon today – and let them know you’re concerned for their spiritual welfare.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
