Mormon Dilemma 383

God and Man are Immortal

Times and Seasons, vol. 5, No. 15, August 15, 1844, p. 615; “The soul, the mind of man, the immortal spirit. All men say God created it in the beginning. The very idea lessens man in my estimation; I do not believe the doctrine, I know better…The mind of man is as immortal as God himself…God never did have power to create the spirit of man at all.” – Joseph Smith

Genesis 2:7; “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

Also see Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pgs 352-354.

The god Smith is preaching is obviously not the God of the Bible so why did this man use the Bible at all except to deceive?

“…God never did have power to create the spirit of man at all.” – Joseph Smith”
WHO is HE to say that? WHERE did he get that idea? NOT from the Bible but his own mind which was under the satanic influences he was into.
