Mormon Dilemma 359

Joseph a Second Mohammed?

Fawn M. Brodie, No Man Knows My History, p. 230-231; “We will trample down our enemies and make it one gore of blood from the Rocky Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean. I will be to this generation a second Mohammed, whose motto in treating for peace was ‘the Alcoran [Qu’ran] or the Sword.’ So shall it eventually be with us – ‘Joseph Smith or the Sword!’” – Joseph Smith, October 14, 1838

Jude 1:12; “These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots.”

A second Mohammed.  Great.  If these incendiary comments don’t get you packing your bags nothing will.

These are clearly the words of a false prophet.
