What is exaltation? 

 Encyclopedia of Mormonism, pg. 479; “It is available only in the highest degree of the Celestial Kingdom and is reserved for members of the Church of the Firstborn. This exalted status, called eternal life, is available to be received by a man and wife. It means not only living in God’s presence, but receiving power to do as God does, including the power to bear children after the resurrection (TPJS, pp. 300-301; D&C 132:19). Blessings and privileges of exaltation require unwavering faith, repentance, and complete obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Mark 12: 19-25; “Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man’s brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. 20 Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed. 21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise. 22 And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also. 23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife. 24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? 25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.”

Let’s say the biblical passage above is correct through and through with no misinterpretations or mistakes in the translation process.  If this is true then the entire precept of Mormonism falls flat on its face.

If it’s not completely translated properly then what do you do with this passage and why do the Mormon missionaries carry this bible around with them from house to house?

The next thing we could do is go to the Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible and see what it says.  Maybe Smith could give us some insight and inspiration there, right?  Wrong.  The JST text is identical with the exception of listing it with different verses (Mark 12:23-29).

So maybe the passage is translated correctly and the Church just chooses to overlook it…
