Mormon Confusion Over Judgment Day

16 February

LDS General Conference, ‘O How Great the Plan of Our God,’ October 2016; “[The] Day of Judgment will be a day of mercy and love—a day when broken hearts are healed, when tears of grief are replaced with tears of gratitude, when all will be made right.” – Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Mathew 7:21-23; “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Deuteronomy 4:24;” For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.”

Mormons don’t see this day as a terrifying day, but a good day. It’s not going to be a joyous time for those who have rebelled and turned their back on the one true God.

Yes, God is a God full of love and mercy, He’s also a consuming fire.

In Christ,

Melissa
