Meaning Behind Occult Mormon Temple Garments

22 July

Colossians 3:17; “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”

Reading over the LDS explanation of what their temple garments symbolize was a jaw dropper for me.

Each sentence in the Encyclopedia of Mormonism on this topic was worse than the previous one, so we decided to dissect it to see what God has to say. Here we go!

Encyclopedia of Mormonism, p. 534

‘The white garment symbolizes purity and helps assure modesty, respect for the attributes of God…’

Wearing proper clothing that covers oneself assures modesty. Mandatory dress code laws have nothing to do with modesty, and everything to do with man controlling other people.

Specifically, how does someone’s clothing respect the attributes of God?

What does that mean?

You see, this is how Mormons stay confused. Leaders fill up space on a page with meaningless words and phrases. You get exhausted, mentally, and spiritually, from trying to figure out what is means by reading things such as this.

In the end you either blame yourself for not understanding it, or ignore it altogether and just move on.

‘…to the degree it is honored, a token of what Paul regarded as taking upon one the whole armor of God (Eph. 6:13; cf. D&C 27:15)…’

???

How is the helmet of salvation represented in your underwear?

This sounds a lot like they’ve lifted another biblical passage from Isaiah to confuse and mislead.

Isaiah 59:17; “For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, And an helmet of salvation upon his head; And he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloke.”

‘…It is an outward expression of an inward covenant…’

STOP!

Never, never, never, not one single time ever, did I hear the phrase, ‘an outward expression of an inward covenant – for anything. Never.

They’ve hijacked this phrase from the Christian vocabulary to mislead the unknowing. This is not Mormon verbiage at all.

‘…symbolizes Christlike attributes in one’s mission in life…’

Specifically, what attributes of Christ are represented in the temple garments? The symbols sewn into garments represent Jahbulon, the god of Freemasonry, not Christ Jesus of the Bible.

‘…Garments bear several simple marks of orientation toward the gospel principles of obedience, truth, life, and discipleship in Christ….’

And here we go…

Each marking in LDS temple garment is strategically placed, and each marking symbolizes a Masonic oath. This has nothing to do with Jesus at all!

Melissa wrote a fantastic article on her temple garments shortly after her exodus, pointing out the Masonic meaning of each symbol sewn into the garments. Listed below are the meanings of each marking. For more info on her article, see Mormon Temple Clothing and Other Rituals.

‘The mark on the right is the square and it suggests to the mind exactness and honor in keeping the covenants.

The mark on the left is the compass and it suggests to the mind an undeviating course leading to eternal life.

The naval mark suggests to the mind the need of constant nourishment to the body and spirit.

The knee mark suggests every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is the Christ.’

The last comment the Church made ranks right up there with the worst of the worst.

‘…A biblical tradition teaches that Adam and Eve, prior to their expulsion from Eden, wore sacred clothing…’

This is a lie. There is no biblical tradition that Adam and Eve were wearing temple garments before God kicked them out of the Garden of Eden. They wore the clothing God fashioned for them, and this was made from the animal He sacrificed to cover their nakedness.

Genesis 3:21; “Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.”

This is what happens repeatedly in Mormon teachings. They just randomly say things with no proof, and members are told not to question the leaders. Here’s the bottom line in all this.

Mormon Temple Garments are nothing more than a manmade rule used to control members of the Church. It’s quite heartbreaking to see the extent they go to in covering their own sin by lying.

We’re praying Jesus will break the chains that bind these dear people!
