LDS Prophet Joseph Fielding Smith: ‘No Man Will Visit The Moon’

24 February

Deuteronomy 13:1-3 “If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”

Scientifically speaking, the 60’s and 70’s were an exciting time for mankind. They orbited the earth, and even landed on the moon. Alas, not everyone was happy about the discoveries, and went so far as to publicize their nay-saying ways.

The 10th LDS Prophet/President, Joseph Fielding Smith, spoke out a number of times on the subject. We can only surmise his dismay stemmed from concern that false prophecies made by his predecessors, Joseph Smith, and Brigham Young, would come to light.

Smith had good cause to worry because no one looking like the Quakers were found roaming the moon’s surface. Meanwhile, in his attempt to divert attention, he made his own set of false prophecies. Oh, what a tangled web we weave…

Today Mormons will defend the Church by stating Joseph Fielding Smith wasn’t a prophet at the time he made the statement. However, the Church is very clear about who is and isn’t, a prophet. Apostles are indeed prophets.

Their other excuse on this is ‘he was only speaking his own opinion’. This typically happens whenever there’s a huge false prophecy like the one we’re examining here today.

The problem with the last scenario is that Smith was speaking publicly as a , and didn’t state it was only his opinion. This makes it a false prophecy!

We’ve listed a few of the most memorable things Mr. Smith said about mankind’s exploration of outer space. Here we go! You’ll find references listed at the end of the article.

Be sure to ask the Mormon you know for their opinion of this event!

With Love in Christ;

    The point this. The earth was made for us. By God. The moon was never made for man to live on. It is said not to call an anointed of God, evil if you do it is to your own damnation.

    Research NASA hoax on Youtube. Apparently Fielding… you were a true prophet after all, as time has attested. Does that mean people should convert to the LDS faith? Not really. Don’t join a club just because they are right.
