LDS: God and Christianity Deserted Each Other

08 January

2 Timothy 3.16-17; “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

You’ll want to keep the verse above in mind as we examine our Mormon reference. Today we’re looking at a sermon delivered by Mormonism’s 6th prophet, Joseph F. Smith. Here we go!

Journal of Discourses 12:327–328; “I am aware that the Gospel, as revealed in the Bible, cannot be found in the world; the ordinances of that Gospel are not administered in any church except the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Although Mr. Smith had traveled a little by this time, surely, he hadn’t been to every church in the world to make such a bold claim!

If we make ourselves acquainted with the tenets of the religious world we shall find that they have not the Gospel nor its ordinances … they are devoid of the knowledge which we possess…

1.Jesus said not one jot or tittle shall pass away, so what makes Mr. Smith believe otherwise? Mt. 5:18

2.Admittedly, the world is indeed devoid of Mormonism’s knowledge. The reason is because Joseph Smith made things up as he went along, and implemented new things all the time, none of which were biblical. For proof of this just read our blog.

In their minds they have closed up the heavens; they declare that God has revealed all that is necessary, that the canon of scripture is full, and that no more will be revealed. …

Remember our bible verse above!

Furthermore, Jesus’ death for our sin is the crowning point of God’s gospel. If that wasn’t good enough for mankind, nothing else ever will be.

They will not listen…to the testimony of men who tell them that the Lord lives, and that He is able to reveal His will to man… They will not heed this testimony…they close the door of light and revelation. They cannot advance, nor learn the ways of God nor walk in His paths.

God’s word tells us to reject lies that come from false prophets. Mt. 24:24

… We testify that the barriers which separated man from God have been overcome, that the Lord again communicates His will to man…” – Joseph F. Smith, Salt Lake City, November 25, 1868

The barriers have been gone since the veil in the temple was rent in two at Jesus’ crucifixion!

Mr. Smith is trying to assert Joseph Smith is the reason man can now follow God in the proper manner. Make no mistake, this is a brazen attempt at replacing Jesus with Joseph. True, historical facts, tells us otherwise my friends. Don’t forget what happened in Jerusalem at Jesus’ death!

Matthew 27:51; “And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent”.

Mormonism has erected barriers preventing would-be followers of Jesus from having a saving knowledge of Him. This is done by tricking people into believing the Bible has been translated incorrectly. Articles of Faith 1:8. By utilizing a falsehood like this, they’re able to discount, and reject, what God said in His word about Jesus.

Hebrews 1:1-2; “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds”.

Moreover, there’s also the solid foundation of fulfilled scripture, repudiating all of Mr. Smith’s claims. Again, this also tells us that Jesus, not Joseph, is the Promised One of God. Check this out!

Psalm 22:22; “I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.”

Hebrews 2:10-12; “For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, 12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.”

Think about this:

Who has Joe Smith sanctified? Did Joe Smith know about, and sanctify the Berbers, who live in the areas of Morocco? Did he know and sanctify Syrians, who’ve fled from death through persecution?

Pray for those who still believe the falsehoods like this one. Although written over 100 years ago, the same doctrines are still espoused today. If they weren’t still doing this Mormonism would’ve rejected and repented of these lies.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle

One Response to “LDS: God and Christianity Deserted Each Other”

The mormon ” plan of progression ” ; by works and ritual ordinances , is not THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST . The mormon doctrine , is the latter day manifestation , of the original plot of satan , that he sought to impose upon all , and attempted to displace THE TRUE GOD . Salvation is by grace alone , through faith in JESUS alone . Works follow naturally . I suggest you see the article : ” Why Are There Paintings Depicting Ritual Abuse On Display at the Las Vegas Courthouse ? ” . Go through all the comments for the choice parts concerning mormonism , and deliverance . Thank you for the article .
