Joseph Smith: No Celestial Kingdom for Adulterers

26 November

Journal of Wilford Woodruff, November 25, 1843, p. 204 “On this day in Mormon History — 175 years ago today – Nov 25, 1843 — [Wilford Woodruff] … I found the High Council sitting on a case of Harrison Sagers for some improper Conduct or offer towards some female. … President Joseph Smith … [said] That the Church had not received any license from him to commit adultery fornication or any such thing but to the contrary if any man Commit adultery He Could not receive the Ceslestial [sic] kingdom of God. Even if he was saved in any kingdom it could not be the Celestial kingdom.” [See reference at end of article.]

Matthew 24:11 “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”

One has to wonder what these men were thinking with Smith’s prolific lies.

Four months earlier on July 11, 1843, he prophesied there would be no salvation without polygamy. For more info, see Polygamy Denials.

And last but certainly not least, Smith had 42+ wives at the time he made this ungodly threat.

Ask the Mormon you know what they think of this scenario, and be sure to compare it with truth from the Bible! If this were truly from the Lord, why were people being charged with fornication in a church court, and why did Smith lie about all of it?

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
