Comprehensive History of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 1:88-89; “The fact was that Joseph Smith was not the only psychic in the vicinity of Palmyra. Men will say in scoffing explanation and in fancied refutation of the things here to be stated that the early decades of the 19th century were noted as a period of great superstition, and western New York was a locality where ignorance prevailed.”
Ecclesiastes 9:5-6; “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.”
Not being the only psychic in your neighborhood does not mean you’re a good person and it does not excuse your outlandish behavior.
