Joseph Smith is Central to This Dispensation

16 March

Ensign, ‘The Restoration of Major Doctrines through Joseph Smith: Priesthood, the Word of God, and the Temple,’ February 1989; “The Restoration is among the most important tasks God has ever entrusted to a man—without it, “the whole earth would be utterly wasted at his coming.” (D&C 2:3.)

The world’s debt to Joseph Smith is great. As prophet, seer, and revelator, he is central in this dispensation.” – Donald Q. Cannon, Larry E. Dahl, and John W. Welch

Titus 1:16; “They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.”

1 Timothy 1:17; “Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible,  the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

For the record…we are now living in the Dispensation of Grace. It’s considered to be the 6th dispensation. For more info on that subject see GotQuestions. In short, it began with the shedding of Christ’s blood, and will continue until the Millennial Kingdom of Christ when He will reign for 1,000 years.

If you’re LDS, we ask in all humility if what the Church has said is okay with you. Why would Joseph Smith be central in this day, and not Jesus who died for you?

Although our reference is dated for 1989, teachings like this are still being used in the youth Seminary programs.
