Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pg. 348; “I will transpose and simplify it in the English language. Oh, ye lawyers, ye doctors, and ye priests, who have persecuted me, I want to let you know that the Holy Ghost knows something as well as you do. The head God called together the Gods and sat in grand council to bring forth the world. The grand councilors sat at the head in yonder heavens and contemplated the creation of the worlds which were created at the time.”
Romans 11:33-36; “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! 34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? 35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? 36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.”
Please, stop and think.
Are these the words of a humble follower of the Lord?
This was part of the “King Follett Discourse” given just a few months before the death of Joseph Smith. Many experts on Mormonism believe he was certifiably insane by this point. The vocabulary he employed shows a man almost desperate with anger in wanting people to believe his theories.
