God Created Other People…On Other Earths

14 April

1 Corinthians 15:2245; “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.”

BYU Speeches, Devotional, ‘A Wonderful Flood of Light,’ March 26, 1989;“We do not know how many inhabited worlds there are, or where they are. But certainly we are not alone. This is a universe of spiritual order, in which “Kolob is set nigh unto the throne of God, to govern all those planets which belong to the same order as that upon which thou standest” (Abraham 3:9).” – Neal A. Maxwell

Also see: A Wonderful Flood of Light, p. 25.

Doctrines of Salvation 1:62; “We are not the only people that the Lord has created. We have brothers and sisters on other earths. They look like us because they, too, are the children of God and were created in his image, for they are also his offspring.”

Answers to Gospel Questions 2:144; “…the great universe of stars has multiplied beyond the comprehension of men. Evidently each of these great systems is governed by divine law; with divine presiding Gods, for it would be unreasonable to assume that each was not so governed.”

FYI: Mr. Maxwell’s speech is available via two ways; free online video, or book, which you can purchase online, or at a store. The 2nd link isn’t available as a free online resource, but it too can be purchased online, or at a store.

A very good explanation refuting the idea people exist on other earths can be found at Creation.com. They explain there’s only One redemption provided by the only Savior of mankind; Jesus Christ.

The problem they say is that if you’re going to be redeemed by a kinsman-redeemer, you must be a descendant of the first man, Adam. Isaiah 59:20.

These so-called mysterious brothers and sisters on other planets wouldn’t qualify for any type of salvation, and besides, there’s no mention of them at all in the Bible!

The Maxwell Institute, named after Neal Maxwell, is a well renowned law school in Utah. Ask the Mormon you know what they think about his belief in extra-terrestrials.

Also ask why a so-called prophet of God would proclaim such things when they clearly defy what God tells us in His word. Remember, one false prophecy is all it takes to qualify as a false prophet. Deut. 13:1-4.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
