Today we’re grabbing a few of the memorable things from the LDS Blog who reported on what Mr. Monson had to say so we can compare them with God’s word!

Before we begin, special note should be taken of the image above. I downloaded this from the LDS Blog’s website and couldn’t help but notice the description in its caption…

We’re wondering what heroic feat Mr. Monson performed…with that visual in mind, let’s take a look at the wisdom Mr. Monson imparted to the Saints this time around.

While announcing the five new temples they’ll soon have, Monson asked the following question –

“What will protect us from the evil so prevalent in the world today?…I maintain that a strong testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and of His gospel will help see us through to safety.”

This is true, but only if you’re worshiping the Jesus of the Bible.

“We do not honor the priesthood of God if we are not kind to others…Let us examine our lives and determine to follow the Savior’s example by being kind, loving, and charitable. As we do so, we will be in a better position to call down the powers of heaven for ourselves, for our families, and for our fellow travelers in this sometimes difficult journey back to our heavenly home.”

1.The priesthood of God belongs to God alone. To honor that priesthood you must honor what His word says about the only One who holds it. Hebrews 7:26-28

2.The only power we have is given to us by God through His Holy Spirit.

3.We can’t go ‘back’ to where we haven’t been. John 3:13

“I speak about the power of the Book of Mormon and the critical need we have as members of this Church to study, ponder, and apply its teachings in our lives.”

Members of the LDS Church receive power from the Book of Mormon? This would mean they’ve received power to denounce the Bible as it says in 2 Nephi 29:6-7.

“As we do so, we will be in a position to hear the voice of the Spirit, to resist temptation, to overcome doubt and fear, and to receive heaven’s help in our lives.”

This power isn’t from the God of heaven.

“A Testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints…The holy priesthood of God has been restored for the benefit and blessing of His children.”

As noted above, the priesthood belongs to God alone, and therefore, didn’t require a ‘restoration’.

Most importantly out of this whole scenario, Christians do not need a testimony of the church. When Christians share their testimonies about the Lord, many times they’ll thank Him for the body of Christ, but testifying about the church isn’t proof their local church is ‘true’.

Testifying about people isn’t testifying about the awesome God of the Bible! Is your trust being placed in the power of God, or those serving Him?

This “is the Lord’s Church here on the earth. … If you do not have a firm testimony of these things, do that which is necessary to obtain one…”

Mr. Monson has falsely prophesied that Jesus’ church is dependent upon mankind, and this simply has no bearing on what God has said in His word. It has no place in anything to do with Christianity, nor has it any merit.

Please, pray for those who attended, and/or listened to all the lies they produced!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
