False Prophecy of Joseph Smith

27 April

New Jerusalem

D&C 84:2-3;Yea, the word of the Lord concerning his church, established in the last days for the restoration of his people, as he has spoken by the mouth of his prophets, and for the gathering of his saints to stand upon Mount Zion, which shall be the city of New Jerusalem. 3 Which city shall be built, beginning at the temple lot, which is appointed by the finger of the Lord, in the western boundaries of the State of Missouri, and dedicated by the hand of Joseph Smith, Jun., and others with whom the Lord was well pleased.

Revelation 21:1-2; And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.  2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

As noted before the “temple lot” still sits empty of any temple.  Additionally, the New Jerusalem won’t be anywhere near Missouri.

The Temple will be built by the saints before the second coming. It will be constructed just as any other temple has been throughout history.
The time of its building depends on a few condtions, however. First, the people of the United States must be willing to let the saints have the land back, and build the temple. Also, the saints themselves must be prepared to live in Zion (which is the pure in heart) or the city cannot be constructed.

Once the city and the temple are built and the people living their are pure through the washing of Christ’s blood, then the City of Enoch that God removed from this earth before flood will come down out of Heaven and join the city that the saints have built up, the two becoming one city, or New Jerusalem.

Thus the city will both be built by the saints, as God declares in D&C 84, as well as come down from Heaven.

      (See Moses 7: 60-63)

Shem – The temple that is to be built before the 2nd coming of Christ, is the Jewish temple in Jerusalem, Israel.

The only temple that is described in the Bible and the only temple that ever mattered… until Jesus became the fulfillment of the law and gave Himself up as the last and final sacrifice. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one Man the many will be made righteous. The veil was torn, Praise Jesus!

If the United States is so important in the end times and the 1,000 year reign of Christ, why is she not mentioned in Revelation? Because Israel has always been God’s promised land… It has been central in world history and believing the Bible, it will be central for the millineum.

My family members every time say that I am wasting my time here at web, but I know I am getting familiarity every day by reading such fastidious content.

Not yet, but there will be, when God has prepared the people sufficiently for the building of the City of New Jerusalem then the temple will be built.

“Additionally, the New Jerusalem won’t be anywhere near Missouri.”

Please explain where you get your information. After all, the Bible never states where the City of New Jerusalem will be, so it would be nice to understand how you know where it will or will not be.

    CAMDEN

There are two great temples that the Bible prophecies will be built before the second coming. One is in Jerusalem, and the other is in Zion, or New Jerusalem.
    Isaiah 2: 3
“And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us ago up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the flaw, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”

Notice the two cities from which God will govern in the last days, and during the millennium. Zion and Jerusalem, two different cities, each a center for the laws and learning of God.

Question: Why would John give any real detail concerning an earthly nation, that would not arise for nearly 1800 years, to a people who would be long dead by the time it came?
Visions and prophecies are most frequently given through symbolism and symbolic language. One must have the spirit of God to understand understand what is meant. In other words, just because something is not mentioned by name does not mean that it is not contained in the prophecies of the Bible.
