Authority to Preach
History of the Church 5:256-7; “Whenever there has been a righteous man on earth unto whom God revealed His word and gave power and authority to administer in His name, and where there is a priest of God—a minister who has power and authority from God to administer in the ordinances of the gospel and officiate in the priesthood of God, there is the kingdom of God; and, in consequence of rejecting the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Prophets whom God hath sent, the judgments of God have rested upon people, cities, and nations, in various ages of the world, which was the case with the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, that were destroyed for rejecting the Prophets.” – Joseph Smith
John 15:16; “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”
This passage in the book of John is only one of many examples telling us that Jesus gave His followers the authority to preach and carry forth His gospel to others.

Matthew Henry once said there are only two camps you can belong to; one of God and the other, Satan. If Smith said he is the only one with authority and God said He gave all His children authority, which camp is Smith preaching and proclaiming these prophecies from?
