Revelation 22:19 “And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
For now we’re looking at v. 3. We’ve provided all 5 verses at the end of this article, along with the LDS link.
What caught our attention about this is how their prophet Spencer W. Kimball used this in a talk we recently looked at (Lack of Lamanite Conversions), and also as the excuse for the Indian Placement Program that Mormons orchestrated back in the 60’s – 70’s. It was yet another failed attempt at making Indians ‘white and delightsome’ as prophesied in the BoM.
With the short history lesson behind us, here’s what happened with D&C 32:3!
D&C 32:3 “And Ziba Peterson also shall go with them; and I myself will go with them and be in their midst; and I am their advocate with the Father, and nothing shall prevail against them.”
Ziba Peterson eventually left the Church, and became sheriff in what is now Placerville, CA. And that’s all there is to this failed prophecy. Obviously, something did prevail against them. Apostasy.
Sadly, their leaders keep using bits and pieces of random stuff written by Smith to bolster their case for Mormonism. Sadder still is how the Mormon people won’t stop to verify if what their leaders have said is true.
We’re wondering how these things are accepted into their hearts as they sit in their various classes that focus on their canon. Pray for Jesus to intervene and for Mormons to get up, and walk out!
With Love in Christ;
D&C 32:1-5 “And now concerning my servant Parley P. Pratt, behold, I say unto him that as I live I will that he shall declare my gospel and learn of me, and be meek and lowly of heart. 2 And that which I have appointed unto him is that he shall go with my servants, Oliver Cowdery and Peter Whitmer, Jun., into the wilderness among the Lamanites. 3 And Ziba Peterson also shall go with them; and I myself will go with them and be in their midst; and I am their advocate with the Father, and nothing shall prevail against them. 4 And they shall give heed to that which is written, and pretend to no other revelation; and they shall pray always that I may unfold the same to their understanding. 5 And they shall give heed unto these words and trifle not, and I will bless them. Amen.”
