Romans 3:23; “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” 2 Nephi 2:21; “…For he gave commandment that all men must repent; for he showed unto all men that they were lost, because of the transgression of their parents.” Article of Faith 2 – “We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgressions”.
Trinity John 10:33; “The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.” Mosiah 16:15; “Teach them that redemption cometh through Christ the Lord, who is the very Eternal Father. Amen.” Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, 372; “Many men say there is one God; the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost are only one God. I say that is a strange God anyhow—three in one, and one in three! It is a curious organization.”
Creation  Colossians 1:16; “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.” Mosiah 5:15; “…Christ, the Lord God Omnipotent, may seal you his… that ye may have everlasting salvation and eternal life…and mercy of him who created all things, in heaven and in earth, who is God above all. Amen.” Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, 350; “Now, the word create came from the word baurau which does not mean to create out of nothing; it means to organize; the same as a man would organize materials and build a ship.”

Church Matthew 16:18; “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” 1 Nephi 14:12; “…I beheld the church of the Lamb of God, and its numbers were few, because of the wickedness and abominations of the whore who sat upon many waters…and their dominions upon the face of the earth were small, because of the wickedness of the great whore whom I saw.” Joseph Smith-History:19; “I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong…”
Hell Matthew 10:28; “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” 2 Nephi 28:22; “And behold, others he flattereth away, and telleth them there is no hell; and he saith unto them: I am no devil, for there is none…” Mormon Doctrine, 234; “…all those who do not gain eternal life, or exaltation in the highest heaven within the celestial kingdom, are partakers of eternal damnation…”
Bible 2 Timothy 3:16; “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 1 Nephi 13:39; “And after it had come forth unto them I beheld other books, which came forth by the power of the Lamb…the records of the prophets and of the twelve apostles of the Lamb are true.” Articles of Faith, 214; “… the genuineness of the Biblical record are accepted as unreservedly by the Latter-day Saints as by the members of any sect…Nevertheless, the Church announces a reservation in the case of erroneous translation.”

You have done a very good job of creative editing.

By combining scriptures and teachings that do not go togeather, and by leaving out important parts of the same scriptures and teachings you have done a good job of making them look liks something they are not.

Anyone who wants to learn more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (the Mormons) should also check out what the Church has to say about itself and not rely only on what outsiders say about us.

Unfortunately, fred described the content of this page as ‘creative editing’ but made no effort to correct any of the errors that he seems to think is there.

Taking the challenge of fred as a sincere “Investigator” (the term the LDS missionaries call prospective church members), my personal investigation into the doctrines of traditional Christianity and those of the LDS church has clearly demonstrated that there are these differences and many more.

Take fred’s challenge yourself, if you want. You’ll find that the differences between the LDS teaching and the Bible are irreconcilable.

Wow…this website is astonishing! It’s sad to see people putting forth so much effort in targeting a specific church in such a negative light. Fred mentioned it above, and it’s pretty obvious to those that know LDS doctrine that the scriptures and quotes mentioned throughout this website are carefully picked and taken out of context in order to satisfy the author’s position. LDS doctrine is LDS doctrine and is for the LDS church to determine. It’s not found by casually scanning the Book of Mormon and carefully hand picking passages to suit your agenda.

Fred had it right. If you want to know about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, go to their website lds.org or mormon.org. More specifically, lds.org/topics discusses many of the topics that are argued on this website, but with the entire topic in its pure form, complete with full context. Visiting those websites, you will begin to understand that the LDS church rejoices in Christ, teaches of Christ, and strives to follow Christ.

@Vince…this website is hardly a place where common understanding will be found. It serves no purpose to debate on a website that has a banner that says, “Would you vote for a Mormon?” That’s like saying would you vote for a Jew or Muslim. I have enough enduring faith in humanity to assume that people visiting this website are smart enough to consider much more about a political candidate than the candidate’s religion.

When your organization claims to be the one true church & condemns every other faith, it’s going to be investigated. Truly boggles my mind that somehow it is okay for Mormons to try and convince everyone else that their beliefs are wrong, yet if they try to witness to your about their faith, or the unsettling questions they have about yours- suddenly it’s born of hate & persecution. Furthermore, this is a site specifically about Mormonism, hence Mormonism being the targeted organization. I agree, though, everyone should read the Bible. Mormon, Catholic, Protestant, whatever- read the Bible for yourself. Read the Book of Mormon. Take notes as you go. The Bible does not support LDS doctrine. Heck, the Book of Mormon doesn’t support LDS doctrine!
