Journal of Discourses 3:319; “He was the person who brought the animals and the seeds from other planets to this world, and brought a wife with him and stayed here. You may read and believe what you please as to what is found written in the Bible. Adam was made from the dust of an earth, but not from the dust of this earth. He was made as you and I are made, and no person was ever made upon any other principle.” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, April 20, 1856
Genesis 3:19; “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”
The Bible clearly states Adam was made from the dust of this earth. Interestingly, the Quran tells us that Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit, God forgave them and then sent them down here to earth (Surah al-Baqara 2:30-39).
