Adam Decelestialized Himself to Procreate with Goddess Wife

Hebrews 12:2; “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

“. . . when brother Pratt went back last fall, and published the Revelation concerning the plurality of wives; it was thought there was no other cat to let out. But allow me to tell you . . . you may expect an eternity of cats, that have not yet escaped from the bag … . Brigham Young, 1853”

Brigham’s words were an ominous warning of what was to come. This essay discloses some of the most blasphemous ideologies Brigham espoused, and passed on down to his followers. We’ve listed 11 key points of the article, followed by the pages from where we extracted the info. To read the article in full, click on link above.

The jury’s still out on which teaching he proclaimed was the worst. It’s a toss-up between Jesus being no different than Cain or Abel., Adam ‘decelestializing’ himself, or that Peter is Joseph Smith’s god. Ugh! It seems these men had far too much time on their hands…(Proverbs 16:27)

The interesting thing about this set of teachings is how they were presented. The first time it went public overseas, they chose to release the news in the Millennial Star which was the British newspaper for all things Mormon. Because the teachings were so controversial, ‘the brethren’ felt it might cause problems so they kept reminding adherents theirs was a god who only reveals a little info at a time.

When that didn’t go over well, it was clarified two more times, with each publication carrying more heresy than before. While it seems the Church did incur some initial losses, membership continued to grow. The overall reaction to Mr. Young’s prophecies barely raised an eyebrow.

We have many questions with the list but we’re limiting ourselves to just two.

Why would Adam need to ‘decelestialize’ himself to procreate? We thought he was already doing this…

We’re wondering if this genre of religious hokey-pokey helped serve as a backdrop for any of the award winning sci-fi books written by Orson Scott Card?

  • Adam, the literal father of Jesus.
  • Adam came into world with resurrected body.
  • Adam brought one of his wives with him.
  • Adam ate of the fruit of the garden until he could beget a tabernacle.
  • Adam is Michael and God.
  • Each “god” is responsible for creating spiritual offspring, organizing an earth.
  • Adam needed to decelestialize himself to procreate physical bodies for spirit children.
  • Each creator, or “Adam,” esteemed a “Heavenly Father”.
  • Christ no different in patriarchal lineage than Cain or Abel. Everyone is God’s spiritual and physical offspring.
  • Adam is Michael, aka Ancient of Days, aka God, aka Jesus’ spiritual father, aka creator, aka Archangel
  • Peter is Joseph Smith’s god.

“Hosea Stout…wrote that “President B. Young taught that Adam was the father of Jesus and the only God to us. That he came to this world in a resurrected body &c more hereafter” [sic]…Wilford Woodruff also made detailed notes of Brigham’s remarks: . . . When our Father came into the garden He came with his celestial body & brought one of his wives with him & eat of the fruit of the garden until He could beget a Tabernacle And Adam is Michael or God and all the God that we have anything to do with . . . .[5]

Brigham’s cosmology thus seemingly held that each “god” was personally responsible for creating spiritual offspring, organizing an earth for their temporal existence, and decelestializing himself to a point where he with an “Eve” could procreate physical bodies for their spirit children. Each creator, or “Adam,” would then be esteemed a “Heavenly Father” for the inhabitants of his created world—each being the only God whom these inhabitants would worship. Whatever his special mission, Christ was no different in patriarchal lineage than Cain or Abelall being the literal spiritual and physical offspring of the same individual…

February 1854, President Young again expounded publicly on Adam-God. The message was the same. “Who did beget [Jesus Christ]?” Young asked, . . . His Father, and his father is our God, and the Father of our spirits, and he is the framer of the body, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Who is he. He is Father Adam; Michael; the Ancient of days. Has he a Father? He has. Has he a mother? He has. …

“Some have said that I [William Clayton] was very presumtuous to say thisBrother Brigham was my God and Saviour, Bro. Joseph was his God and one that gave Joseph the keys of the kingdom was his God which was Peter. Jesus Christ was his God and [the] Father of Jesus Christ was Adam.” (WWJ, April 10, 1852).”
