2017 LDS: Partner with God to Bring Spirit Children to Earth

11 January

2 Timothy 3:6-7; “For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

Ensign, ‘Prophetic Principles of Faithfulness,’ January 2017 – C. Scott Grow

c-scott-grow“What decisions and commitments do you need to make now and in the future to help you remain faithful? …

1.Continually Nourish Your Testimony…

2.Follow the Counsel of Living Prophets and Apostles…

3.Be Sealed in the Temple and Keep Your Covenants…

4.Partner with God in Bringing His Spirit Children to Earth…

2 Timothy 4:3-4; “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

Paul’s warning is a sure sign the Bible is a timeless and reliable resource for us, even in the 21st century! While we receive e-mails from people telling us ‘Mormons don’t believe in stuff like that anymore’, alas, today’s example puts their argument to rest. People spend a lot of time and money learning lots of stuff without growing their relationship with the Lord, and that includes Mormons as well.

Sadly, the directives from the Mormon Church is reminiscent of something one would read about in studies of Ancient History and the temple of Diana, and doesn’t reflect any biblical principles whatsoever. Case in point is our LDS reference today which comes from the latest Ensign, and Liahona Magazines (January 2017). The link above is provided if you’d like to read the article in full.

This piece is just the latest in the Church’s strong push exhorting members to listen to their prophets, especially if they’re questioning anything about the Church. In his article, Mr. Grow provided a list of ten ‘prophetic principles’ members should follow to ensure they’re staying faithful to the Mormon god. You’ll notice, however, these prophetic principles are just recycled false teachings from their past. There hasn’t been any new prophecies from the Church since June 1, 1978, when they allowed blacks to hold the priesthood. See ‘The False Prophecy of the LDS 2nd Declaration’.

The Mormon gospel cheapens the true value of human life by spewing out doctrines they need to have sex in order to fulfill God’s ‘plan of salvation’. And so we ask: what kind of god would demand such ‘sacrifices’?

What purpose does this serve the true God of the Bible?

How is elohim glorified by this behavior?

For the record, God’s glory is found in His Son Jesus, not your bedroom.

We found it ironic, not to mention terribly sad, they’ve labeled the body of Christ as the ‘whores of earth’ while mandating that salvation comes through having babies. See 1 Nephi 14:10.

As a matter of fact, that one verse is part of what kept me in the Church for many years. I knew I was a lot of things, but I didn’t want to be a ‘whore’ if I left it for Christianity. It wasn’t until after I left the Church before I realized the horror of what it meant by staying Mormon. Please pray the Mormon people would stop and connect the dots!
